::On Time::

sabda Baginda Rasulullah s.a.w. yg amat2 disayangi:

"Dijadikan bagiku bumi ini sebagai masjid."
(Hadith riwayat Bukhari)

dulu2, segan sungguh nk solat bila x jumpa tempat yg namanya
surau/masjid.. bnyk pikir, bnyk alasan dlm kepala,
sampaikn solat pun lewat2, kdg2 sampai nk terlepas waktu!

lama2, alhamdulillah..
brjaya jgk set the priority right, reformat minda..

'All that matters ialah perintah Allah utk solat,
and we should try our best to do it ON TIME!'

asalkan tempat tu bersih, bleh je kan?
throw away all the excuses and hesitations..

adjustlah aktiviti kite according to waktu solat,
bukan adjust masa utk solat according to aktiviti kite.

it's a simple message,
but it was only not long ago that a friend
indirectly sampaikn mesej ni to me,
and till now lekat n bkesan di hati..
and for that, i'm very thankful to ____..

another sentence that's being kept in mind all this while,
that was spoken out during saat2 genting
dealing with a not-yet-muslim during satu kursus...

'It is obligatory for us to pray on time'..

these words keep terngiang2 kat telinga saye..

i was amazed,
by ____ strong imaan and ____ sentence,
and by ____ firm act of adjusting the activities according
to prayer time and not the other way around..

terima kaseh...
terima kaseh...
terima kaseh...
kpd yang berkenaan...

ingatan utk diri saye terlebih dahulu, dan utk rakan-rakan sekalian..
inshaAllah, hari esok lebih dari hari yg sebelumnya..

Of course we need to pray on time but remember we are living in a hectic and busy time. For me, the quality of the prayer is much more important than trying to get the prayer on time, trust me, you must have a lot of classes/labs that make you can't pray on time (even maybe you need to jama' your prayer), maybe you have other duties as well, or maybe you feel very hungry, very tired etc (things that you need to do first before you pray). So, just make the 'niat', insyaAllah if conditions permit, I will pray on time, if not, I'll try my best.

That's how I think, because I don't want to push myself too much until the prayer which is perceived to be on time lacks quality.

One example, in Masjid Toronto , they delay the prayer so that people coming back from work/or having lunch can pray. Even for fajr, they know people wake up late, so they do the congregation prayer in the middle (not so late till syuruk).

Allah knows best.
